Hello again from the nation's capital !
It has been a while but we finally have time to share our happenings. It has been snowing since noon. There is quite an accumulation of snow so far. The roads are super slippery. We have not had snow for a couple of weeks so I guess we are due for a good storm.
We have been very busy with work and Spring 4 on 4. There are only two positions left so just have to respond to requests with "sorry, registration is full". Work for both of us has been crazy busy. We are not complaining.
Carter's team advanced to the next round of the playoffs. They played two very exciting games last weekend. They lost by one goal on Saturday then won by three goals on Sunday. Our goal tending was incredible both games. That is what is keeping us alive. Playoffs resume tomorrow against the first place team. If they maintain their spirit from Sunday anything can happen.
Carter is down to one visit per week at the physio therapist. He is progressing rapidly. The next appointment with the doctor is on the 29th. With luck he will be healed enough to start putting some pressure on the leg. The therapist is quite confident and is looking forward to treating him two to three times a week with more exercises. He knows best. Carter is getting a wee bit antsy these past two weeks. He is hopeful that he can get into a regiment to regain using his leg. We are all hoping for the best.
We have watched a bit of the Scotties on TSN. It is not as exciting to watch as hockey so it plays second fiddle on our tube. Read today that Jennifer Jones is number one YAHOO! Sure hope she can win back the title. It will be on the tube all weekend. We haven't heard if Mervyn & Marlene made it to Red Deer but will be looking for them in the empty stands. The patch must be full as the bleachers have sure been emptly. M & M are probably drinking in the patch with Rickey - Ha!
The buzzer is ringing - dough ready to make pizza. Better get the lad fed. Have a good weekend.
