Hello again from the nation's capital !
We continued to receive awesome fall weather this weekend. In fact the coldest day of the week was Remembrance Day (Friday).
Paula is off to Paris for the week. We drove her to the airport yesterday afternoon. She will return on Thursday.
Carter played hockey yesterday evening losing a nail biter to Kanata. The coach reminded them they have to play all three periods. He was right on the money. Carter played another great defensive game. He held off two three on five penalty kills in the second period. We took some really dufous penalties. The forwards fell asleep in the third period hanging our goalie out to dry two times.
We had off ice training on Monday and a practise on Tuesday. It was nice not having to rush anywhere after work each night but we certainly missed the ice time; evident at yesterdays game. The team arranged for fitness assessments on Saturday morning and only five players showed up to take advantage of the opportunity. They had a early morning practise this morning which everyone participated. Carter said they skated hard. They play in a tournament in Pembroke this weekend.
Carter brought home his progress report card this week. We were thrilled with the grades and comments from the teachers. He remains a good student and somehow manages to keep his teachers happy. This makes us happy as well.
We enjoyed the Ranger hockey game against the Senators on Wednesday night. It was a good game in which Avery and Kopo...sp? had fisticufs at our end of the ice. We were thrilled although it was more of a dance than a fight.
Not much else to report. We were glad to see Hamilton beat Montreal and are cheering on Edmonton. Best go watch the rest of the game.
Have a great week.
