Hello again from the nation's capital !
Our yard is ready for the trick or treaters. We had quite a few gawkers today. It kept Bob on his toes and us crazy with his rant every time someone came near the yard. He will definitely by locked in his kennel tomorrow night. We may let him get a taste of the rude kids - just kidding.
Our weekend was a little crazy once again with hockey. Carter practiced on Friday, twice on Saturday, again this morning and we traveled to Spencerville for a game this afternoon. We drove 85 kilometres for a no show of on-ice officials. No refs were booked for the game so we were told to go home. That was a total waste of four hours of our time. Most parents were quite ticked off not to mention the unhappiness of the players. It was a beautiful day and we all could have been doing something productive. Oh well, what can you do. The game will have to be made up some day.
There was not much for hockey this week, just Monday. Another fiasco with wrong location supplied and parents rushing 40 kilometres to another rink. Carter got a ride so we weren't rushing. The first practice we not in attendance.
Carter had fun practicing with the AA team twice this weekend. They run some pretty intense drills. Carter managed to keep pace with the team. He thought he sucked but it was only him having to learn the new drills. This week is hectic with practices on Monday and Tuesday, games on Wednesday and Thursday and a tournament with two games on Friday and Saturday and again on Sunday if we make the semi's or finals. He wasn't thrilled about Mondays practice but once we told him he was invited to practice with the Bantam AA team afterwards he was overjoyed. He plans on pinning the vampire cape to his jersey and or wearing scary make-up on his face. We'll see 'bout that.
Randy and Bob will stay home and hand out candy...well Randy. You already know where Bob is headed. Paula will attend the practice and hand out candy to all the hockey players at the rink. We already have the candy bagged for practice. The weather is suppose to be not so bad so hopefully we get as many kids as the last few years (125).
It is time for bed so must sign off soon. Happy Birthday Carol.
Hope you all have a great week.
SPOOKY DREAMS !
