Hello again from the nation's capital !
Just came in from walking Bob. It is so hot outside we had to turn on the air conditioning. I am sweating bullets. Bob emptied his water dish and is fast asleep in his kennel. Will take a break, cool off and write the blog. It has been hot and humid most of the week. Yesterday it was cloudy and humid and hot; you barely wanted to be out of doors. No complaints. On Thursday morning it was so foggy we could barely see across the street.
Paula is busy packing her bag as she is off to Toronto this afternoon (was just informed her flight is delayed and hour - Porter Air). She is away for just one night. She doesn't know how we will cope with out her. She went shopping and bought pre-packaged everything thinking we were going to starve to death. Carter has tasted pretty much all of it so whether it lasts until tomorrow morning is questionable. Speaking of Carter, he and his mother have been watching a History movie since 10:30am. Since it started Randy has cooked breakfast, done the dishes, done a load of laundry, raked and push mowed the front grass and walked the dog. That has been our Sunday morning so far.
Yesterday was filled with household chores and shopping at the Orleans mall. We stocked up on winter coats and a bath robe for Carter. We went with the intent of exchanging the new espresso machine that didn't work and having lunch. We did a bit of shopping as well. We returned home in time to watch the first quarter of the football game (we won't remind you what team it was). We then rushed Carter to hockey at Ray Friel. On the way we saw a family of wild Turkeys feeding in the boulevard (too funny as Thanksgiving is so close). Randy and Paula drove out to the RV (where we saw more wild Turkeys in the storage lot) to pick up Paula's visa card and we found $10 up in the cupboard. Finders Keepers. We drove back to the arena and watched Carter's team play three 20 minute periods. They played good without their star defense man winning 4-1. After the game we returned home for warmed up chili and pasta. We were pretty much starved by the time we got home. It was a long day.
Friday we had hockey practise at Earl Armstrong then came home for frozen pizza and home made enchelada's. We were in bed early both Friday and Saturday as we all needed to catch up on some ZZZZ's. It was a pretty busy week with hockey, meet the teacher night, rugby and cross country tryouts not to mention a tiny bit of homework for Carter and lots for R and P.
Well that is all for this week! Hopefully you all have time for reports this week considering the wonderful weather we are all enjoying.
