Hello again from the nation's capital !
Once again we are late with the newsletter. We had another busy weekend with lacrosse and hockey. Carters team won on Saturday. Carter scored a goal and assisted on a couple. It was a very good game with only ten runners. Randy helped out on the bench opening doors and Paula captured lots of pictures.
We took in two junior C games one on Friday and another on Saturday. It is a nice family outing except for the fights, or is that why we attend! Carter also attended a going away party for one of his hockey team mates on Saturday. R & P dropped over for a beer after the party.
Sunday was lazy sleeping in day. Carter and Randy caught up on the latest Family Guy episodes while Paula knitted. After some grub we took Carter to hockey. After hockey we ate early then went for a nice long walk. The weather finally warmed up in the late afternoon and has been nice ever since.
It has been frightfully hot and humid since Monday morning. We finally bit the bullet and turned on the air conditioning last night. It was freezing in the house early this am. The wind blew in late this afternoon and it is suppose to go down to 11C tonight.
Carter received the French award for the month of May. It is a nice surprise. His class wraps up shortly as the report cards have to be submitted the second week of June. They don't do much for the month of June but watch movies, go on field trips and get into trouble. We should just keep him at home.
Carter had lacrosse on Monday and again tonight. He had hockey power skating Tuesday and again on Thursday. We travel to Peterborough on Friday afternoon for the first big tournament of the season. It is an A - B tournament so there will be lots of competition. There should be some exciting games. We don't play until 7PM on Friday and at 1PM, 5PM and 9PM on Saturday. The weather is suppose to cool down for the weekend which will make it easier for the boys and cooler for the parents in the rinks. Bob is booked in to Pet Smart for the weekend. He will enjoy the hotel for dogs.
